Art_Perspective & Streetscapes

Third grade's A.R.T (Art Related Theme) is PERSPECTIVE.

They started with an observational drawing exercise drawing the same object from different sides. 

Now they are exploring perspective as an illusion of space by making a whole streetscape on a flat piece of paper using vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines. The girls learned about the focal point in one-point perspective and will "build" buildings with paper collage.

Each year, we begin with a class discussion on the use of technology in school and at home.  We identify ways to be safe, prepared, respectful, and responsible.  We also discuss why we use technology:  to create, communicate, collaborate, and review information.  Finally, it was time to get work work creating personal collages in Pic Collage EDU and autobiographies in Book Creator!  Once the Pic Collages were finished, students learned how to change the background and lock screen of the iPads.
