We have been learning about the French fable "La Cigale et la Fourmi" by Jean de la Fontaine. It tells the story of a cicada who spends all summer singing and having fun. She is unprepared when winter arrives and has to go knocking on the door of the hardworking ant in order to ask for food.
The girls worked on learning a version of the fable and then put on skits for the class. Your daughter played either
la narratrice, la cigale, or
la fourmi. Some of our skits will be performed after the break but I hope you enjoy pictures from our performances so far!
